How to Feel Less Overwhelmed

Think about the moment when your To Do List is growing. You have a lot on your plate: work, deadlines, activities, birthday parties and presents, holidays…and you are overwhelmed, you are anxious, but you are going to take CONTROL with these 2 steps:

STEP 1: WRITE DOWN YOUR LIST

You can write it down on a paper, on your phone or on a computer—whatever works for you. Because once we start writing things down, they become more concrete. Things that are more concrete and less ambiguous, have less anxiety associated to it.

 STEP 2: EVALUATE & REPRIORITIZE

After your write down you list, you are going to evaluate and reprioritize the items on your list. Here’s how with 3 simple questions:

  1. Is there anything I can eliminate from the list?

  2. Is there anything I can delegate on the list?

  3. Is there anything I can move to a different date on the list?

Once you start following these steps, you will see things are becoming a bit less overwhelming. You feel calmer, and you feel in control.
